Being overweight and obese causes many diseases and conditions such as high cholesterol and hypertension in CHILDREN. Not to mention the emotional and psychological prolems that develop throughout their teenage years. These problems only compound as the children grow up, causing much more severe outcomes in adults. Four out of five obese children grow into obese adults.
Although many children are still active and play sports, there are many others who can’t resist the lure of TV, gaming or the internet. This, along with easy access to fast and processed foods is causing more and more children to become overweight and obese. The pressure and competition aspect of team sports isn’t for everyone, but any child will be welcome as part of Kid Tribe and supported in their journey to achieve fitness, balance, agility and a better self image. Nobody has to go it alone, and no tribe member is left behind!
If your child is at risk of being overweight or obese, their doctor had told you they need to lose weight, or you would just like to see them make some improvements in their health and fitness, Kid Tribe is ready to offer a solution.
Children have different needs, capabilities and expectations when it comes to exercise. Fit Tribe founder, Vanessa Richardson has taken a personal interest in children’s fitness and has undertaken extra study to gain a better understanding of how to coach children specifically.
Vanessa is available to take weekday groups currently - school or after school groups are welcome.
